Metal Saga (PS2) - a side-story of the relatively obscure Metal Max series. Actually a series that started on the Sega Saturn. Also, it can take some getting used too, because left stick controls the camera, and right stick controls movement. Gungriffon Blaze (PS2) - really awesome game, the only con is that it's in japanese.

Missions take 2 or more hours each, and there's 17 of them. The only con is that it is really slow, it has a bunch of unnecessary animations for everything. Battles are tense as fuck, even against grunts. Ring of Red (PS2) - a SRPG where you play as post-WW2 mechs in an alternative history. I just am a little leery about recommending a game where you have to code an AI to build support units if you're playing alone.

VD has 13 really meaty missions, and had an interesting take on arm weapons and the story makes sense. The story is individually focused but something's missing to really connect everything, and I don't know who to blame that on. So while there's more missions: there's less content. Though I want to mention they removed the arena ladder and replaced it with basically dual missions. But it has a few really enjoyable missions, and has the most of the infiltration missions of any of the modern games.ĤA has a plot and narrative and has a "Hard Mode", the only one of the 7th gen games that do, which add replayability. So I'll keep you guys updated.Įdited by Ironslug, 27 February 2015 - 08:50 PM.4 has a bad translation and literally craps out by cutting the dialog at the climax and leaves you wondering what's happening.
MECHCOMMANDER 2 OMNITECH AUTOMATIC PATCH
Next I'm gonna try the Wolfman-X patch on my regular MechCommander 2 installation. It's weird how for some the badcard.csv, and vidcard.csv need to be deleted and for me it's the exact opposite. Same issue as before.Ģ) Copied the badcard.csv and vidcard.csv from my MechCommander 2 installation folder, into the Wolfman MC2-X installation folder. Still had the same issue as before.Ģ) Copied the badcard.csv and vidcard.csv from my MechCommander 2 installation folder, into the MechCommander Omnitech 424 installation folder.ģ) Ran it as Admin again (no other compatibility changes), runs like a dream.ġ) Installed it and ran it as Admin. I decided to mess around a little more.ġ) Installed it and ran it as Admin. Otherwise I would have left it running.Įdited by Ironslug, 27 February 2015 - 06:57 PM. I gave it another try without them and that actually messed it up. reinstalled it and ran it as Admin, and ran perfectly, even with the badcard.csv and vidcard.csv still in place. Hopefully it will work flawlessly after that.
MECHCOMMANDER 2 OMNITECH AUTOMATIC UPDATE
When you get into the game, disable the Hardware Mouse Update check box under options. That said, give it a try and see if it will work.
MECHCOMMANDER 2 OMNITECH AUTOMATIC HOW TO
I don't have the freesource version, as I could never figure out how to compile the thing. In any case, I managed to run MC2 fine by doing the following:ġ.) Running the MC2 executable as an administrator, but NO compatibility modes.Ģ.) Deleting I think the badcard.csv and vidcard.csv files in the MC2 directory.
MECHCOMMANDER 2 OMNITECH AUTOMATIC WINDOWS 8.1
I originally had graphical issues with MC2 on my Windows 8.1 setup, though if I recall, it looked a bit different from yours. My previous laptop also ran WIndows 8.1, and had no issues with MC2, so I am at a loss, and if anyone can help, I would be immensely greatful, and hopefully it can resolve issues for others as well. I have added a few examples, which you can find using the following Dropbox link, in case you may be able to help. With all the different installations, with various different fixes tried across the board, when the game is done loading the main menu screen, the graphics are distorted and there are all sorts of images overlapping my entire screen. The Problem: Whenever I start the game, I end up with a graphics issue. I've tried dozens of fixes mentioned on countless forum threads, but none of them helped. Original MC2 ISO and MC2 Free Source: mounted/unmounted ISO, with/without Wolfman-X patch MechCommander 2 however is causing me some more problems.

So I'm having a great time all round with that. I don't even have to run it in Compatibility mode. All I did was copy all the data off the ISO into a self created MCG folder, and leave the ISO mounted to play. MechCommander Gold runs with absolutely no problems. I immediately installed MechCommander Gold and MechCommander 2.
MECHCOMMANDER 2 OMNITECH AUTOMATIC DRIVER
Intel i7-4700HQ with built in display driver (Intel HD Graphics 4600) Secondly, and more importantly for me: I am trying to find someone who may be able to help me out with my MechCommander problems. Assuming thats not breaking any laws?!?! Please let me know if it does. If anybody is interested, I am more than willing to upload them wherever is most convenient for everyone. To start with and most importantly: I still have the original ISOs, released on, for MechCommander Gold, and MechCommander 2.
